Dim Sum Treats & River Views: Royal China London

I’ve always been proud of my Chinese heritage and spent most of my years growing up around the delicious street food of Singapore. Now I have my son, who is a quarter chinese, I’m keen to keep our heritage alive and show him all the cool things Chinese culture has to offer. Eating is a big part of asian living and so when Royal China invited us to go and eat some

Rural Luxury & Family Weeks At Casa La Siesta, Cadiz

Any hotel that includes the word ‘nap’ in its name sounds perfect to me and on this promise alone, Casa La Siesta can deliver. There is of course more. The hotel’s family weeks are, I believe, what every parent dreams of having in a good holiday. Rural luxury, good food, round the clock childcare, peace with a little town just 10 minutes away if you fancy a spontaneous nightcap…because you can.Casa La

Dinosaurs By Design: Valencia

In May we had a mini break to Valencia, mainly to visit grandparents but also to continue our slow discovery of what the city of Valencia has to offer. I used to do the PR for the Valencia tourist board and wrote countless press releases on The City of Arts and Sciences…I always thought it looked amazing but on this trip I finally got to see it in the flesh

Beach Kid Hang Outs: North East Mallorca

I’m sure I will add more beaches to this post but for now here are a couple of beautiful family beaches we’ve been hanging out on in North East Mallorca. I would recommend getting to both early at around 9am because this part of the island attracts a lot of crowds by midday. The beaches are much nicer at this time, it’s less hot for little ones and parking is much easier.

Europa House: Luxury Family Abode In London

If you are planning a trip to London with the family but have no idea where to start with accommodation…then read on. Last week I got to have a little peek inside Europa House – a collection of one, two and three bedroom luxury apartments in the pretty canal area of Little Venice. The location is ten minutes from Paddington Station and walking distance to various undergrounds all just a few

Nubo & The Grounds – A Family Day Out In Sydney

If you’re in Sydney with small children I recommend this day out. It’s enjoyable for both parents and kids which,  in my opinion, makes the ideal type of family outing. Once you have exhausted all the tourist attractions and are looking for more entertainment I suggest taking the children to Nubo followed by lunch nearby at The Grounds. Hire a car and drive to Alexandria where you’ll find Nubo – a

Modernist In The Maldives: Parent Escape

Last year was an epic year of travelling for us and we managed to tick off two of our most wanted on the bucket list. The Maldives was one of these destinations. As many of you might have seen from my social media posts, we stayed as a family at the Park Hyatt Hadahaa. It’s a cliché but it was an unforgettable luxury experience which we all enjoyed so much.If I

A Family Beach House In Weligama, Sri Lanka

Our beach house in Sri Lanka was the second of our stays with Villas in Sri Lanka (the first was at Claughton House). It was near the famous Weligama Bay, in a beautiful beach bungalow called Suriyawatta. This property couldn’t be more perfect for a large family or family groups that want to share. I loved the way it felt like a real family home with a large wrap around garden and

The Maldives With Kids – Mirihi Island Resort

The Maldives must have been on my bucket list since the word go. To visit with kids? Probably not but as timings in life go, this was our opportunity and so, with kid in tow…off we go. Contrary to what I was expecting, this holiday turned out to be one of our easiest and most relaxing. The choice of resort is key and staying on the laid back island resort of
