Another weekend, another search for a family day out that doesn’t involve padded walls and even more screaming children to add to our own.  I know we all have to do kids stuff but sometimes it’s nice to find something that everyone can enjoy right?  Well, if the Lavender fields of Provence have always beckoned but are an unrealistic trip away – then why not visit the Mayfield Lavender Fields in Sutton.

It is hard to believe that somewhere so naturally beautiful exists just outside of central London. You can have a picnic in the fields under a pergola, indulge in a massage or sample lavender tea and fairy cakes at the little cafe. However, by far the best bit for mums and dads is this seemingly natural form of tranquilizer which, following a couple of hours of breathing in the aromas, acts as the perfect clonker outer for even the most active T-rexes out there.
