Mallorcan Country Charm For Families: Possessio Binicomprat

If you’ve been looking for a beautiful but affordable stay in Mallorca this coming summer then I might have just the thing. For those of you who follow me on Instagram you may remember that towards the end of last year, Florence and I went on our first girls’ minibreak. We stayed in a restored farmhouse – an agroturismo called Possessio Binicomprat, organised by the stylish and sustainable travel club,

Moving to Mallorca: Eight Months In

Hi All! Happy New Year! Well I know I keep promising posts (I have so many I want to write but never the time at the moment) but 2018 was a big year for us. Not only did we have a new baby but we also fulfilled a long standing dream to relocate from London to Mallorca. After a couple of years of talking about it we took the plunge

Parent Escape: Purobeach Illetas, Mallorca

Last week Ross and I were invited on a well needed ‘Parent Escape’ to the stunning Purobeach Illetas located just outside of Palma in Mallorca. I must admit my beach club skills are a little rusty – the last time I went to one was in Ibiza…pre-children…say no more. I’d been told, however, that Purobeach Illetas has quite a different vibe to the ones I’ve frequented on the White Isle, more

The Babymoon: Hotel Cort, Palma

If you are reading this and thinking about taking a little break before your baby is born (a babymoon) – do it! We have just come back from a blissful adult only week of doing all the things we love to do when kids are not around. Staying in a gorgeous boutique hotel, eating long lunches and late dinners, sleeping in and wandering out when we wish. The week truly

A Stylish Farmhouse Stay In South East Mallorca

I have featured Mallorca a lot on my blog because we go there every year for two months with Ross’s work. At the end of his stint we take a week out to have a holiday together as a family. There are some gorgeous Airbnbs in Mallorca and I personally find it more relaxing to be in accommodation where we can do our own thing. This time we stayed in a

Rural Luxury & Family Weeks At Casa La Siesta, Cadiz

Any hotel that includes the word ‘nap’ in its name sounds perfect to me and on this promise alone, Casa La Siesta can deliver. There is of course more. The hotel’s family weeks are, I believe, what every parent dreams of having in a good holiday. Rural luxury, good food, round the clock childcare, peace with a little town just 10 minutes away if you fancy a spontaneous nightcap…because you can.Casa La

An Urban Stone House For Families, South East Mallorca

If you’re looking for stylish self catering accommodation for the family in Mallorca, this post is about an urban stone house we rented through Airbnb on the south east coast of the island.  If you love interiors like me, you will most likely appreciate this three bed with roof terrace and courtyard garden.  A mix of industrial grey polished plaster and exposed Mallorcan stone walls made this house a delight to

Three Stylish Family Stays in Mallorca

If you have enjoyed my posts on Mallorca and are thinking about visiting the island with your family, then there are lots of family friendly places to stay, from self-catering apartments and villas to boutique and luxury hotels.   Here are three stylish family stays I have found when looking for our own accommodation in Mallorca.  I haven’t stayed at any of these and so can’t give you a first-hand

Three Stylish Family Holidays In Europe

If you are looking for a family holiday in Europe, I’ve found a few places that still have availability and are, I think, affordably stylish. Europe is generally a good choice for family holidays because it is a short flight for kids and usually a good climate for everyone.  Personally I really like self-catering when travelling with T-Rex or if you can afford, a hotel style resort that has independent accommodation

Bioparc – An African Zoo In Valencia

Weird concept I know, to have an African zoo in Spain but our discovery of Bioparc in Valencia was actually a very cool find.  I’m really not into the idea of zoos but since having T-Rex, me and the zoo have become good friends.  They are a good family day out and it seems that many zoos these days are conservation projects for endangered species which makes me feel better about
