If you have enjoyed my posts on Mallorca and are thinking about visiting the island with your family, then there are lots of family friendly places to stay, from self-catering apartments and villas to boutique and luxury hotels.   Here are three stylish family stays I have found when looking for our own accommodation in Mallorca.  I haven’t stayed at any of these and so can’t give you a first-hand experience of what they are like, they are just lovely looking places I wanted to share with you.

Villa Station – Ses Salines (South East)

This is a remote country farm house which can be rented out as a whole or in separate units.  It has bedrooms, a studio, family suites and an apartment which if rented all together would be a really good base for a large family holiday or for a few families sharing together.  The house is an old train station which has been restored and decorated by an interior designer.  It has a pool and pretty courtyard and the studio and family suites also have kitchen facilities. Guests of Villa Station are also able to use the facilites of its nearby sister hotel Es Turo.  Ses Salines is a gorgeous little village with nice restaurants and coffee shops and the area is also home to some of Mallorca’s best beaches.

Hotel Ca’s Papa – Valdemossa (North West)

I found this little boutique hotel on my recent trip to Valdemossa.  It is tucked away in a cobbled back street and only has 13 rooms. They do have family rooms and so it would make a good base for a small family wanting to spend time in Valdemossa, in the Serra de Tramuntana – a national heritage site.  The hotel has been fully restored by an architect and features a mix of traditional and contemporary interior design.  Mediterranean breakfast is included in your stay and there is an honesty bar if you fancy a little night cap.

The Sextant Residence – Puerto Pollenca (North)

This three bedroom, two bathroom apartment is in the pretty port town of Puerto Pollenca.  This accommodation would make an easy beach holiday for a family with the apartment being walking distance from the beach, a play park and lots of restaurants.  The apartment is on the third floor with no lift so could be tricky for parents with prams but the plus side is that it has lovely ocean views.  The apartment is equipped with children’s books, toys and highchair and interiors are decorated in fresh blue and white summer colours which I personally love. I have stayed in Puerto Pollenca and also been to the beautiful old town which is a short drive away.
