Cool Car Tunes For Kids (and Mama)

I have been known to make ‘Old MacDonald Had A Farm’ last the entire car journey from London to Basingstoke – non stop. That is approximately an hour and a half.  Old MacDonald’s Farm has acquired a whole new set of exotic animals in this time and my vocal chords have reached new Hyena-esque heights.  Sometimes, for variation, i’ll mix it up with ‘Row Row Row Your Boat’ and then

Luxury Family Spa at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay

The Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in Vietnam was one of my big inspirations for creating this blog.  Before T-Rex, I wouldn’t have even considered that spa-goers and families could quite happily holiday next to one another, or that they would even want to.  However, this luxury Robinson Crusoe style resort is, I believe, the perfect combination of grown up relaxation and cool kid adventures. It might have been the beautiful

Sweaty Betty Crazy Leggings

Does anyone else wear their gym gear, then not go to the gym? Or is it just me.  I honestly do intend to go to the gym but sometimes I just don’t get there and other times I just need to wear something stretchy and comfortable that is conducive to running around after T-Rex. Aside from the fact that my old gym gear no longer fits (slightly telling) I decided

Chen Sea Resort & Spa Phu Quoc

Some mummies give birth and don’t want to leave home. I, on the other hand, was itching to get on a plane and fly to somewhere exotic with my new little family. It is amazing the amount of people that disapprove of this and thus my announcement that we had booked flights to Vietnam with our three month old son returned looks of sheer disgust “how could we be so

Cars

Happy Friday everyone! The sun is out and so is T-Rex’s spring wardrobe. With the favourite word currently being “Broom Broom” I thought that this cute car shirt from Next would be just ticket.

Shopping with Kids in Singapore

Yes I know, to any sane mother this sounds like a nightmare but to go to Singapore and not visit Orchard Road is like going to London and not shopping at all.  On my recent trip I found a way of making Singapore shopping with a child less traumatic – I’d even go so far as to say it was enjoyable. My saviour was the 5th floor of designer shopping

Gentle Baby Beach at Moona Moona Creek

The beaches on the south coast of Sydney are stunning – all white sands and turquoise waters. Hyams Beach is the big draw but it isn’t hugely child friendly. Instead, head to some of the other surrounding beaches which are not as busy but just as nice. Yesterday we discovered Moona Moona Creek, a gorgeous little inlet of calm, clear water – perfect for kids and mamas who just want

A Little Bag for Mummy

Country Road is one of my favourite Aussie brands for accessories and this time round I found this cute little black and white mesh bag. Not only can you see everything you have in it (versus my usual bottomless pit handbag which ends up being more of a nappy bag anyway) but it has a handy leather wrist strap (which I hang off the buggy) and is big enough to

Toddler Fun at Fairlight Beach, Manly

I lived in Manly for four years so I am a fan.  It’s a lovely day trip out of the hub of Sydney which starts with a 30 minute ferry ride across Sydney harbour. When you reach Manly Wharf you feel like you have arrived on holiday, on your holiday. The restaurants on the jetty are cool and trendy but not pretentiously so – they are the perfect spot for

Milk Beach, Sydney

As much as I like hanging out in the one foot deep concrete square that is a toddler swimming pool at the end of Bondi beach, it is not where I want to be when I am child free. Grandma kindly offered to have T-rex for the day in order for me and husband to have a day ‘off’ together. Quick! Search for most secluded, difficult to reach bay in
