The Balearic Sandal: Palmaira

If you’ve been following our Mallorca travels on Instagram, you might have noticed Rex and I have abandoned all other (14 pairs to be exact) shoes in our holiday wardrobe for these – our Palmairas. Soft, buttery leather and easy to slip on and off, our Palmaira sandals have replaced flip flops this summer, not only for comfort but also effortless holiday style.Rex has been particularly attached to his Palmairas (the

Mummy & Me Beachwear: The Designers

There’s twinning and then there’s winning at twinning. I don’t know what it is but whether you have a girl or a boy, there is this urge, at times, to dress like each other. Sometimes I do this without even realising. I think it’s built into a mother’s subconscious…whatever, it’s cute. I can’t deny this genre of mama and me dressing can sometimes throw up a few fashion faux pas but there are

Dinosaurs By Design: Valencia

In May we had a mini break to Valencia, mainly to visit grandparents but also to continue our slow discovery of what the city of Valencia has to offer. I used to do the PR for the Valencia tourist board and wrote countless press releases on The City of Arts and Sciences…I always thought it looked amazing but on this trip I finally got to see it in the flesh

Beach Kid Hang Outs: North East Mallorca

I’m sure I will add more beaches to this post but for now here are a couple of beautiful family beaches we’ve been hanging out on in North East Mallorca. I would recommend getting to both early at around 9am because this part of the island attracts a lot of crowds by midday. The beaches are much nicer at this time, it’s less hot for little ones and parking is much easier.

Golden Rules Of Summer Jewels

One of the things I have loved about blogging is that I’ve been introduced to many beautiful small brands. Carousel Jewels is one of those brands that I’m so happy to have discovered. I like good jewellery. I’m not really into big sparkly bling (although nothing wrong with that!) but I guess my style is more solid pieces, slightly imperfect that are made individual by their unique shape or adorned with

Bioderma Kids SPF50+ Sun Mousse: A Review

We have been trialing a couple of the Bioderma suncare products during this first week of being away. Both myself and Rex are olive skinned but we still burn easily when we have not been exposed to the sun for a while. The brand’s new SPF 50+ sunscreen mousse for kids is aimed at giving long lasting protection whilst making the process of application fun and easy. I have also been using

The Artà Of Kimono Dressing

I had every intension of pairing this Olive Loves Alfie kimono with skinny jeans or lightweight trousers but actually, our kimono, on its own, turned out to be a perfect cool outfit for our visit to the arty town of Artà in north east Mallorca. The kimono is Olive Loves Alfie’s own brand (read more about OLA here) inspired by their trips to Japan. It is for girls and boys and block printed on 100%

Rainbow Beach: The Colourful Bikini Edit

It’s been a bit grey in England recently, in every respect and so here is my offering of colour therapy, in bikini form. Don’t get me wrong I love a muted piece of swimwear in rusty orange or muddy green but when your skin is a bit sun kissed and you are feeling the happy vibes on the beach then why not dress for the occasion. Here is my edit

City Break Style Kaftans

On a recent trip to Valencia, I started wearing my kaftans differently. I was getting really fed up of all my pretty kaftans being reserved just for the beach and wanted to be able to wear them during the day. It’s nothing scientific but I just took a belt from another outfit and tied it around the waist making the kaftan more dress-like. Paired with summer sandals or slippers and a bag I
