Ho Chi Minh City With A Three Month Old

We took our three month old to Vietnam.  Sounds crazy but it was actually one of the easier holidays we had with our portable, non-moving, always sleeping, breast-feeding bean.  We visited Ho Chi Minh City during Tết – the Vietnamese new year.  Going to Vietnam during this time with a baby wasn’t a strategic move but it turned out to be hugely advantageous due to there being less people and therefore less pram vs people struggles on

Hip Holiday Mama in Venice – Camille Hallo

Camille is mum to Valentine (9) and Balthazar (6) and founder of the children’s party design company, A Little Party Box. In between work and being a mum she spends time travelling back to Paris where she is from and daydreaming a lot! What makes your ideal family holiday? Perfect family holidays would be a sunny beach you can walk to, from a large house filled with friends, children, a nanny

Monpe – The Ultimate Travel Trouser

I officially christen these Monpe trousers ‘The Ultimate Travel Trouser’.  I have had my eye on Monpe trousers for a while and am so excited to finally get my hands on a pair.  Monpe are traditionally a work trouser from Japan and are the regarded as the ‘Japanese Jean’.  I have been wearing mine for approximately twenty minutes and I am totally in love with them already – they

10 Not-Too-High-Waisted Bikini Bottoms

I have been debating this season’s high-waisted bikini bottoms with my mum pals.  The consensus is, there are pros and cons. In theory they are ideal for a more voluptuous figure – ample coverage around tummy with the bonus of maybe covering up a scar, enough material at the back to be a bum lifter and best of all you can pretend you are a hot 1950’s siren on the

The Happy Hotel – Cowley Manor, Cotswolds

I realise that many of my posts start with “pre-child I used to like…” followed by some reminiscing about life before T-Rex.  This is because things have changed for me since having a child and it’s not all been for the worse (which might sometimes be construed). Whereas before I had definite ideas about what I did and didn’t want, now I am much more flexible (largely due to

Three Cool and Crafty Travel Buggies

If you are planning a family holiday you will need an easy and portable buggy, not too big but not too flimsy, comfortable and compact.  There are so many to choose from but these are the three that I would consider. The One You Can Take On The Plane As Hand Luggage – Babyzen Yoyo This buggy folds down into a bag which you can take on the plane and store

Salt Resort Wear – A Sunny Retreat In South Kensington

Ugh! London’s rain on Wednesday was awful!  It probably wasn’t part of the plan for Salt Resort Wear’s beach style event but I actually think it was a genius stroke of luck – never have I felt happier to immerse myself in a closet full of beautifully designed summer clothes and accessories, while it miserably pelted it down outside.  The boutique also played host to three beach inspired designers behind

Spring Fashion For Toddler Boys

Sorry to all the little girls out there but this is a Spring fashion edit for toddler boys.  We are finally shifting out of our (impressive) collection of Christmas tops and jumpers acquired in December – yes I know it’s March but I refuse to let a pile of perfectly good, albeit festive, clothes sit unused after only a week of wear. ‘Santa’s little Helper’ and ‘My Christmas Jumper’ were ditched as

What I’d Like For Mother’s Day *hints*

I can’t believe Mother’s Day is this Sunday and even more so, I can’t believe this is my third one as a mum. If I’m totally honest, having a Sunday snuggle on the sofa with T-Rex in this cold weather, will be more than enough this Mother’s Day but…if anything else were to be planned, here are a few things that have caught  my eye. Afternoon Tea at Sketch, London
