Baby Teething Beach Jewels – MintyWendy

At the risk of sounding like my mum (sorry mum) I can’t believe how cool baby stuff is these days.  This necklace is from MintyWendy and it is a baby teething necklace – I have also adopted it as my new beach necklace which can be worn in the sea and out without getting ruined. I was not looking for teething necklaces, T-Rex is way past that point but I loved

Little Beach Bums – Beanie & Bear Kids Beachwear

I love it when I find really good beachwear for kids and the minute I found the Beanie & Bear website I knew I was going to love it.  Aside from the fact, Noya – Beanie and Bear’s creator – lives around the corner from me (see serendipity!) I love this swimwear for its bright colours, cool cuts and ASS – anti saggy swimwear – factor. Noya, who is also mum

The Packing List – Spain

If you are looking for a holier-than-thou list of ‘how to pack for kids’ I’m sorry but this is not it.  I literally have the biggest suitcase I could find (we are away for two months) and have (over) filled it with lots of cool (but probably useless) holiday things for both myself and T-Rex.  Ross has his own bag…which also has some of my and T-Rex’s things in, you see

8 Comfy Travel Trousers For Kids

If you’re about to set off on a trip, here are some comfortable travel trousers for your toddler that can also be worn whilst on holiday. I love jeans but they are definitely not good for travelling in and whilst babygrows are necessary for newborns, I always found them annoying when it came to changing in a plane toilet.  I only bought these lightening bolt joggers for T-Rex recently

Hip Holiday Mama in Sri Lanka – Kellianne Newiss

Kellianne is mum to Daisy Grace (2) with a little boy on the way. She is a photographer based in Manchester and has her own company Kellianne Photography, specialising in fashion and wedding photography.  In between work and being a mum she takes every opportunity she can to escape to warmer climates, sandy beaches and palm trees. What Makes Your Ideal Family Holiday? My ideal family holiday is somewhere hot with

Little House of Hackney x La Coqueta Collaboration

If ever there was a summer shirt made for T-Rex, it is this one from the new Little House of Hackney x La Coqueta collaboration.  Described as a shirt for smart and stylish boys with a wild side and featuring the signature bold Palmeral print, this is, without a doubt, going to be the most coveted holiday shirt during our forthcoming trip to the Balearics. If you don’t know House of

Hip Holiday Mama in the Maldives – Noya Bebawi

Noya is the founder of kids beachwear brand Beanie & Bear and mum to gorgeous kiddies Beanie & Bear who the company is named after. In between work and being a mum she loves to spend time travelling and scouring the globe for the perfect cocktail! What makes your ideal family holiday? I would have normally said that sun and sea were a must, but we started having an annual skiing

Ho Chi Minh City With A Three Month Old

We took our three month old to Vietnam.  Sounds crazy but it was actually one of the easier holidays we had with our portable, non-moving, always sleeping, breast-feeding bean.  We visited Ho Chi Minh City during Tết – the Vietnamese new year.  Going to Vietnam during this time with a baby wasn’t a strategic move but it turned out to be hugely advantageous due to there being less people and therefore less pram vs people struggles on

10 Not-Too-High-Waisted Bikini Bottoms

I have been debating this season’s high-waisted bikini bottoms with my mum pals.  The consensus is, there are pros and cons. In theory they are ideal for a more voluptuous figure – ample coverage around tummy with the bonus of maybe covering up a scar, enough material at the back to be a bum lifter and best of all you can pretend you are a hot 1950’s siren on the

The Happy Hotel – Cowley Manor, Cotswolds

I realise that many of my posts start with “pre-child I used to like…” followed by some reminiscing about life before T-Rex.  This is because things have changed for me since having a child and it’s not all been for the worse (which might sometimes be construed). Whereas before I had definite ideas about what I did and didn’t want, now I am much more flexible (largely due to
